About Dombivli

Dombivli or Dombivali  is the First educated town in Maharashtra and second proficient town in India. It is one of the urban focuses in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. It is situated around 30 km from Mumbai. Thane is the closest city to dombivli, which is  around 27 km Road away and 10 km from railroad.

Dombivli (West) and Dombivli (East) is what dombivli city is dived into. Dombivli is associated to Panvel and Kalyan via state highway. The KDMC (Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation) provide nearby transport administration (KDMT) inside the city and in Navi Mumbai territories.

Railway  Connectivity

Dombivli Station was build on  earlier 1887 , which puts this in some of the oldest local railway station built. Dombivli railway station comes under central railway line and served by Mumbai Suburban railway network. Central Railway’s Fast local trains stops at dombivli. Despite the fact that none of the long route trains stop here, it is very much associated with Mumbai and Navi Mumbai through Thane. Dombivli is the busiest railroad station on the local line in Mumbai. Its get very crowded and difficult to travel during rush hours .

The sanctuary is encompassed by the Khidkali Lake and the people who came here used to give bread to tortoises and fishes . Khidkaleshwar Temple trustee arranges fairs on the eve of MahaShivratri which is also a famous attraction in dombivli for .

Shree Ganesh Temple
Temple is located in Dombivli east, in between Dombivli-Thakurli railway station. Large number of people gets here at the time of Gudipadwa and Diwali to worship and visit this holy place.
